I am quite the introvert when it comes to talking about my issues. You have probably gathered by now that I enjoy being by myself as it restores my energy and is quite meditative. But ,what you may not know is that I am quite indecisive in my actions, and when this happens I will keep this to myself until I have made a decision.
My support always came from my parents , especially my mum as she would always listen to what I wanted to say. They had agreed and supported the idea of me becoming an electrical engineer. Since the day I heard that I had thought “I really don’t want to do this”. It is quite hard sometimes to get the support and attention from those around you, especially when it came to your future and your parents. For 7 years I had agreed with the idea of being an engineer because I had received the support of my parents, I didn’t want to upset them.
Here is the thing, it is your future and that is composed by your own decisions. Recently I started talking openly about my future with my parents , my stepdad was sceptical but i felt good to speak about what I want to do. I love my parents very much, and I now know I will receive that support I need.
